8 Photos Showing How Incredible Our Teachers Really Are

Most people agree that teachers are some of the most important people. These selfless individuals work tirelessly day in and day out to inspire, teach, and mentor our youth during the most formative years of their lives. It's about time that teachers get the recognition they deserve.
Here are eight photos showing the various ways that teachers try to touch the lives of their students.
COMMENT on Facebook if you agree that teachers are undervalued in today's society.

1. This teacher who put on a full, anatomically-correct spandex suit to make sure her students were engaging with her lesson.

2. This awesome teacher who wore pajamas to class in protest when the lecture time changed from 9 a.m. to 7 a.m.

The little ways that teachers choose to relate to their students or entertain them go a long way.

3. Indian teacher Abdul Mallik wades through neck-high water with a flotation tube around his body every day to get to school.

In an interview, Abdul said, "If I go by bus, it takes me three hours to cover the 12-kilometre distance, but swimming through the river is easier, faster and I reach school on time." Now that is devotion.

4. Boston teacher Nicole "Nikki" Bollerman donated her entire $100,000 cash prize from the Capitol One #WishForOthers competition.

"My #wishforothers is that my voracious, adorable, hardworking, loving scholars all leave for their December break with a book in their hand,” explained Nicole when speaking of her generous donation.

5. This math teacher who devised a math problem that results in the expression "merry = xmas."

Even if you don't think that you will use math in the future, you have to admit that the students were probably amazed by this teacher.

6. One physics teacher left this beautiful work of art on the board on his very last day of school.

Everyone expresses their goodbyes differently, and it's quite clear that this teacher had lots of love for his students.

7. This American history teacher went the extra mile by bringing in two of the famous Tuskegee Airmen to speak to his classes.

What an incredible way to make an actual impression on your students.

8. Anshu Agarwal, a teacher in the Himalayas, used trick photography so his students could have a Quidditch match.
